The Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Stroke Team at Hertfordshire Neurological Service is looking for an enthusiastic band 6 Occupational Therapist.
You will be working within a supportive multidisciplinary team where you will provide neurological assessment and treatment for patients who have suffered an acute stroke. We see patients for up to six weeks and implement treatment plans based around their own goals.
The team has an office base at both QVM and Herts and Essex hospital. The service is flexible as to your working base.
Your post will involve supporting a small number of in-patient stroke beds at Herts and Essex when required.
You will be part of a fully integrated multidisciplinary team which includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants.
The service is embedded as part of the wider Hertfordshire Neurological Service. There are clear structures in place to support your CPD and to provide support and supervision.
In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,017 and a maximum payment of £1,762 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
A full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
